It's "pretty" good - Pretty Woman Reviews

Imagine all of the movies you have seen Julia Roberts in the past several years like "Stepmom," "Ocean's Eleven," or "Erin Brockovich." Now imagine seeing her as a hooker in a movie made 14 years ago, but you're watching it for the first time after all these years. For some reason it works well. It would be a breakthrough performance, a movie worth three stars like it earned. A wealthy businessman, Edward (Richard Gere) hires a hooker Vivian (Roberts) to be his escort for a week. Naturally, they fall in love. This was before the story of men falling in love with women they meet in a 2-hour movie became a tiresome story to watch. It's mostly good fun, and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to see it. Worth the time though.
